Q: Where can I get an application for reserving a room? A:
Our application is available here or you can pick one up at any CMPL
location: If you would like to
submit your meeting room application online, download this fillable
version, save it to your computer when you have filled it out and e-mail
to info@cmpl.org: A CMPL employee will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your application to confirm the date or arrange another if the date requested is unavailable. Q: Who can reserve a meeting room? A: Meeting rooms are available free of charge to non-profit organizations in Clinton and Macomb Townships. The person reserving the room must have a valid resident CMPL card in order to reserve the room and receive a key to the meeting room on the date requested. Applications without a valid library card number will not be processed. Q: Am I guaranteed the room I requested by simply turning in an application? A: CMPL has seen a large increase in the volume of people using meeting rooms. Unfortunately, this means that not all applications turned in can be approved. A CMPL employee will contact you to confirm that your meeting room application has been approved. In most cases if an alternate date must be selected it is done over the phone and a new application does not have to be filled out.

Q: My group likes to book a room for an entire year. Can I do this at CMPL? A: No. Meeting rooms cannot be booked more than two months in advance. Q: My group is bringing in a guest speaker. Can we charge at the door for this event? A: No, the library policy states admission charges or sales of non-library purposes is prohibited. Q: I belong to a study group, can we reserve a room? A: Unfortunately we cannot reserve meeting rooms to informal organizations. However, we do have five quiet/group study rooms available at the Main Library which may be used whenever the library is open. Q: What types of rooms are available? A: CMPL has a wide variety of rooms available throughout our three locations. Please click on a link below to learn more about a specific meeting room. |
